Following a compromise between the US Aviation's Complaint Commission and the US Financial Commission, it was concluded that "The life of all pets Being transported through the US to another country or region will be insured and this insurance fee should vary from one pet to another depending on Financial Value of the Animal.
3. We also wish to let you know, according to the US Price Determination Commission, the price of any Yorkie Pet is $2000 USD.
From the above, the Refundable Life Insurance fee you are supposed to pay for a Yorkie Pet is $600.00 and your Yorkie puppy can travel through their lifetime within and out of the US without problems.

I received the exact same email, just different dog, and persons info. the number the "airport" gave was the same also. we sent money. the guys still claims someone else scammed us not him, but my mom used to work for an airline and knew that fake just by looking at it. he said at the end of his last email, please email me asap when the dog arrives..its been 3 days from the original arrival time..we know a dog isn't coming..now we're just looking at humane society's.. hopefully people read this and wont fall for the same trick...

There is a new one of this scams going on on www.hoobly.com under the name of James Hammersley for two pomeranian puppies white female and black male. I almost fell for it but the guy asked me to send a money transfer trhough western union to a pet transport company based in Cameroon. DONT FALL FOR IT IS A SCAM.
I've had two experiences with that in the last week. One was from a woman named Sherise at sherisemelvin@gmail.com and a guy named A. Bermont at morelove88@gmail.com... I only figured it after putting there email addresses into a search engine and all the scam info started popping up!
We were almost scammed for a rottweiler. Listed as Robert Kelly, Thought he was located nearby, but come to find out at the last minute they were in Oregon. We sent the money and confirmed via email. We had a strange feeling about the name of the person receiving the money so we did some research on the internet, and found multiple blogs about the same "courier". We called Western Union right away and was able to get our money back... The person we spoke to stated that someone had called claiming to be my husband and tried to change some information. Western Union sensed it was a scam and stopped the transaction. We were able to get a full refund. Needless to say they never got their money, but I dont think that they noticed until 2 days later. They started calling our house the day the puppy was due to arrive, for what reason... we have no clue, either to state they never got their money or to ask for more money. After the 4th call from them, my husband informed them that the police had been notified, the guy hung up. Hope this helps other from being scammed.

It just happened to me as recently as yesterday, December 28th. I saw an ad on a local newspaper (San Juan, PR) and someone replied saying she was from San Diego California. At the begining I found the pice reasonsble plus flight ticket--a total of $500, which I sent throuh Western Union to Cameroon. WRONG AND SUSPICIOUS. Once received the transfer, began asking for more money as to vaccines ($300), special travel crate ($725) and even an insurance ($975), all by money transfer through Western Union and "fully refundable" when the pet be delivered. I was lucky I was advised it was a scam and could cancel the transfer on time (before the money was claimed) and get a total refund from Western Union. IT IS A SCAM! THIS GROUP WAS IDENTIFIED AS TRUST LINE DELIVERY SERVICE and deals through a lot of different email adiferent. Hope this help!
